New location – the same high standards
FABTECH 2024 was a special edition, as it was held for the first time in Orlando, Florida, from October 15–17. The event attracted approximately 30,000 professionals from all 50 U.S. states and 70 countries. More than 1,500 exhibitors, including 279 first-time participants, showcased their products and technologies across 750,000 square feet of exhibition space. Over 500 product launches were presented during the show, and key trends such as automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and sustainable manufacturing were widely discussed. The event also highlighted the dynamic growth of Florida’s manufacturing sector, which represents a growing share of the state’s economy and generates hundreds of thousands of jobs.
Our presence and offer
For Otinus, participation in FABTECH 2024 marked another step in expanding our presence on the U.S. market. Although it was our first time exhibiting in Orlando, our experience from previous editions allowed us to feel at home very quickly. Our booth attracted visitors with innovative metalworking equipment: we presented compact press brakes ideal for workshops, high-performance sheet metal cutting lines dedicated to serial production, and automated material handling systems. Considerable interest was also generated by demonstrations of machine integration with robots and production monitoring systems.
During numerous conversations, we emphasized that Otinus delivers solutions tailored to different scales of operation—from small workshops to large manufacturing plants. Trade fair visitors appreciated our flexible approach, broad product portfolio, and the ability to configure machines to meet specific requirements. In Orlando, we welcomed both existing customers and entirely new contacts, confirming that the decision to participate in this debut location was the right one.
Key takeaways and development directions
FABTECH 2024 once again confirmed the importance of automation and robotics in the metalworking industry. Many exhibitors presented solutions related to artificial intelligence, supply chain management, and energy management, addressing growing demands for efficiency and sustainability. At Otinus, we actively monitor these trends and incorporate them into our projects. The positive feedback from visitors regarding our machines encourages us to continue expanding in the U.S. market.
